Master your inner game
multiply your outer impact
Leadership that flows from
wholeness
I feel leadership is best viewed as an adventure. It's exhilarating and thrilling one moment, daunting and terrifying the next. Sometimes you're surrounded by your team on a merry adventure, and sometimes you're alone in a dark cave, searching for light, wondering if you'll ever see the sky again. True adventure is fun to read about from the comfort of your couch but pretty wild to be right in the middle of! It tests us, teaches us and transforms us. It sets us on the path towards the great unknown and offers us the potential to return home, bringing with us the gifts we needed to complete ourselves and our communities. If you’re an adventurer ready to do the work required to lead then let’s talk.

About me
I partner best with a very particular type of leader: they are big hearted and like to play full out. They come to me to work together to live more fully into that combination so they can achieve their outer results through their inner transformation. They are willing to take responsibility for their lives as their own creations and see their work as a forum for learning and growth. While I guide and support them, it's their journey - they lead the way into their own depths of discovery, returning with the treasures of inner wholeness, power, confidence, energy and an aligned life.
Some areas of common focus with clients include:
Creating and leading an executive team
Evolving away from disruptive behavioral patterns
Moving beyond limiting beliefs to new ways of being
Finding and using an authentic voice
Getting clear on strategic vision/plan for the business
Executive presence and communication
Fostering cultures of accountability and trust
Evolving organizations to meet the rapid scaling up of their business
Transforming the relationship with stress/anxiety at work
Enjoying the ride while on it instead of getting swallowed by it
I primarily work with startup founders of series A-C companies of around 50-400 employees. I also do a good amount of work with GPs/leaders of venture capital funds and scale up CEOs. If my approach resonates with you and you don’t fall into those buckets I’m still happy to explore working with you. I care more about a client’s readiness to do real work than I do about their job title.
Fundamentally coaching is only one thing: an exploration of the question ‘how will you meet this moment?’ That’s where agency lives: moment to moment in our answer to that question. I work with clients to develop self awareness, self acceptance, presence, and choicefulness in order to increase their agency. This is what I mean when I say wholeness. This is where the inner game meets outer results.
Everything we need is already inside of us-we just have to be willing to go inside ourselves and get it. We often think what’s in the way is out there, but most of the time it’s a limiting belief or a construct inside ourselves. The real adventure begins when we’re willing to look within, work with what we find there and come home to ourselves.. From this place issues like ‘I can’t get my CTO to listen to me’ or ‘there’s just too much going on right now with the business’ no longer seem oppressive or immutable, they’re just circumstances that we can meet, match and dance with. When my clients reach this place they organically move from complaint and limitation into capability and problem solving. They discover they already have the answer they need and the capacity to action it within themselves.
In terms of methodology and training I am an ICF certified coach and use a blended approach inspired by Conscious Leadership Coaching, Internal Family Systems/Parts Work, Somatic Awareness work and Psychedelics. I'm known for combining direct challenge with total support and providing a safe, focused space for my clients to do their work in. I never ask clients to face what I haven't yet faced myself and see it as a primary part of my role as a coach to consistently do my own work before I sit in support of others doing theirs. You choose the path and the prize, and I'll support you on your journey. Growth can hurt. I’ll be there with you so you don’t have to do it alone. It’ll be totally fucking worth it.
I am a Pacific Northwest boy who grew up in the woods outside of Seattle and now splits his time between Brooklyn, NY and the rivers and mountains of the Catskills. I spent the first half of my career chasing what many young men chase- prestige, success, acknowledgement, money. I had decent success at it but it never filled my cup (you can check out my LinkedIn if those particulars are interesting to you). What I carried with me from that time is an acute understanding of how challenging it is to grow a business and a respect for what it really takes to stand at the helm of such an undertaking and lead through it.
Thankfully, years later I was finishing having lunch with a friend and he asked me “hey, can I pay you to keep doing this?” To which I responded “do what..?” and I suddenly had my first coaching client. That lunch changed my life. I’ve come to deeply cherish this work and see it as my life’s task to support myself and others to wake up, come home to ourselves and share our gifts with the world.
Outside of coaching and exploring my own self development work I love to fish, hunt, shoot archery, travel the world and spend time with my wife and our dog Vinnie.
